to attend First United Methodist Church's 34th annual religious art show, Celebration of the Arts, which takes place from February 10-21, 2007.

  • Gala Artists' Reception
    Friday, February 9, 2007 - 7pm to 9pm
    Semi-formal event with the presentation of awards, jazz and special deserts

  • Gallery Walk
    Sunday, February 11, 2007 - 9:30am
    Led by Nancy Clouse, retired art instructor Grand Rapids Community College.

Awards will be presented during the Gala Artist's Reception on Friday, February 9th from 7pm to 9pm.

Entry Information

Media

Oils, acrylics, watercolors, prints, drawings, sculpture, ceramics, fiber, textiles, collage, photography, etc.

Fees

$10.00 for each work. Entries are limited to two pieces per person. Make checks payable to: FUMC Arts Council.

Requirements

  1. Works should express a religious or spiritual quality. A note of explanation may be attached for the juror's use.
  2. All works must be dry and ready for presentation.
  3. Two dimension work must be framed and ready to hang with proper hangers and wire.
  4. No unframed glass will be accepted
  5. Artworks must not have been entered in a previous Celebration show.
  6. No slides of artwork will be accepted.
  7. No prints will be accepted--original artwork only.

Sale of Work

Works may be sold. FUMC Arts Council takes no commission. Those works "not for sale" must be so marked.

Liability

Entries will be installed with all possible care, but First United Methodist Church will not be responsible for loss or damage from any cause whatsoever.

Shipping (for those outside Michigan only)

Please contact Mark Loring for shipping guidlines. Works received after February 1 will not be entered in the show.
