Jazz is a complex blend of inspiration, interpretation and improvisation. Jazz invites listeners and players alike to enter its mysteries and to follow where it leads.

We hear in jazz music a reflection of life itself. Its rhythms, harmonies, subtleties and surprises echo in the heartbeat of our days and the presence of God in them.

Jazz Vespers is a distinctive worship experience that connects the gift of jazz music with the human longing to know the Giver.

Join us as we welcome to the sanctuary of First Church a wide variety of talented musicians to weave jazz, scripture, a pastoral message and prayer into a celebration of faith, hope, faith and the love of God.
